John's on a bridge to Nowhere - She supported a $250 million bridge to 50 people on an island. That's $5 million a person. That's not elitist?!? You could have bought each person a boat, an onshore car and parking garage and still had plenty over to provide healthcare or food or housing to people who really needed that money. Oh yeah, she kept that money for Alaska. They used it to construct a road that led to the proposed bridge to nowhere.
She's gonna need a federally backed loan of $15-18 billion to back a natural gas pipeline from Alaska to CANADA, with no extension to the U.S. even though there were proposals on the table to do just that. Proposals that ddn't require heavy government financial risks. Like PALIN agreeing Alaska would pay treble(triple) damages to TransCanada if Alaska did anything to advance any other proposal. Country First? Which Country? Please specify, Sarah. Yep, she likes the federal money for Alaska. Alaska has the highest per capita receipt for OUR tax dollars even though they're sitting on a $40-$50 bilion trust fund. Even though they take in enough money to provide each citizen with a $1600 check every year. Of course, as much as she likes U.S. money she once belonged to and is still supported by a an Alaskan Seccessionist group that wants to remove Alaska from statehood. So she really wants to have our cake and eat it, too. What a reformer. Of course, if it were me I wouldn't mind if she'd like to take Alaska and secede. I could do without the three guaranteed Big Oil votes in congress. I could do with out subsidizing Alaskan citizens who cry about not getting egregious gifts when the rest of the this Country is hurting while they're sitting pretty on tens of billions in cash. I can do without Alaska and they can secede for all I care, but just one thing, they have to pay back the federal government for every American dollar they ever took. With interest and correction for inflation. I wouldn't even charge treble damages. Re: Re: Sarah Palin! - What was McCain on?

While the bridge in Minnesota was rotting under Republican state and Federal administrations leading to the deaths of 17 and 140+ injured, Palin was seeking $250 million for a bridge to serve 50 people who just can't handle ferry service. Sounds like some rough and tough Alaskans.
Sucking federal funds for Pork while our bridges fall down. Sarah "Bacon" Palin Alaskans First Alaskans Always Oink Oink!!! Re: Re: Re: Re: Sarah Palin! - What was McCain on?

Acording to my thinking...........
Governor Palin is a tough executive who has demonstrated during her time in office that she is ready to be president. She has brought Republicans and Democrats together within her Administration and has a record of delivering on the change and reform that we need in Washington. Governor Palin has challenged the influence of the big oil companies while fighting for the development of new energy resources. She leads a state that matters to every one of us -- Alaska has significant energy resources and she has been a leader in the fight to make America energy independent...................................... ----------------- godgift ----------------- minnesota drug rehab-minnesota drug rehab Putin's Saving Siberians

The current Mayor of Wasilla claims Palin's a quick study. That may be true. With a legislature that meets an entire 90 days a year she has plenty of time to study. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear as if she's studied foreign policy, American Civics, or Constitutional Law. Perhaps, she could get crib notes from Cheney or one of those black and yellow How to be Vice-President for Dummies books. She did receive a degree in journalism from U of Idaho. So, she can take notes right?
Of course, we could just elect Obama. A graduate from Harvard law. A professor of Constitutional law at U of Chicago. A member of the foreign relations committee. A former state senator who for 8 years(2 presidential terms) hammered out legislation in the multi facetedly diverse and populous state of Illinois. A balanced father who has lived and regularly travelled abroad. This person might be the different input needed to get a different output. Granted, his spouse is not a champion snowmobile, but she appears to have found the balance between being a great mother and effective hospital administrator and community advocate. Not just a Noun

I am not a Palin supporter. However, let's not blame her for McCain's failure to rally his party and the country. Colin Powell said it best. McCain ran too much of a negative campaign and picked the wrong vice-presidential candidate. McCain needs to take responsibility for both decision, and ultimately loosing the presidential election. Palin should go back to Alaska, read up on International Affairs, Belt Way Politics, and resurface in four years with a better track record.
They should also let her keep her $150,000 wardrobe. She deserves it. Re: Sarah Palin! - What was McCain on?

The tourist guiding qualification is specific to each and every country; in some cases the qualification is national, in some cases it is broken up into regions. In all cases it is embedded in the educational and training ethic of that country. The Art of Guiding is a skill; it is the skill of selecting information and varying it for different audiences.
