Hey Hal: The website is looking good! It took a long enough time but seems to be worth the wait. Now let's see some comments (after the initial annoyance of creating an account). Okay, I'm done complaining, but things do look much better at the KRXA website.

Hal, I'm really enjoying your morning show lately, which has been increasingly entertaining (as well as informative, which it's always been). Great to hear my radio think for itself on those foggy-brain mornings.
I decided to write you when I heard about the crazy woman harassing you with e-mails denying the existence of Global Heating, then getting on your case for operating a radio station that uses electricity. I thought your response was right on target. It would be especially cool if your station ran on renewable energy -- is there a precedent for that? In today's Californian is an article about how as the ice melts in Canada's Northwest passage, the powers that be are looking into opportunities to mine, drill and ship. They are practically cheering the retreat of ice. What's interesting is that while some cranky conservatives doubt the existence of Global Heating (like your crazy e-mailing woman), others embrace it as some kind of positive change. I would confront her with the fact that the ice is receding, and that cranky Big Oil republicans are already trying to capitalize on it. Then ask her which kind of conservative she is -- a Global Heating denier or a Global Heating prospector? Again, I applaud your outspokenness. Pete Palin speech & Biden's reaction

Hey Hal,
I'm a new listener to your station. From Stephanie Miller all thru Scott Dick. Ok, now about Palin's speech last night. 1. Her voice is just annoying 2. She uses her children for political gain and to scare/remind people of 9/11 (Example: My son Track will be leaving to Iraq on 9/11) 3. Her speech was weak on issues and similar to Giulanni's speech earlier last night. They were just attacking Obama, and not giving the people any plan on how they will bring the U.S back on its feet. Now, Biden praised Palin's acceptance speech as "incredibly well-crafted and delivered," but said Sarah Palin's rhetoric lacked substance. He also said that she will be a tough person to debate, but that he will try to stick the issues. He said that if they debate about who can deliver the toughest lines, then Palin will win, but that he will not be going on that direction. Re: Palin speech & Biden's reaction

I do believe you air head America clowns would be taken a lot more serious if you would leave the comedy to the professionals. I really try and listen to the liberal left with an open mind. But damn, there are few if any of your callers that make any sense not to mention the hosts. You all seriously need some anger management classes. To you it is either anger just such a joke. Except when it comes to NOBAMA, which is by far the biggest joke of all. Please come up with some subject with substance so that I can try and put up with you jokers for more than 5 minutes. One last thing, as far as the rioting in ST Paul, see the anarchists and rioters are true blue progressives that can not just display their dislikes without destroying other peoples property. Hi Hal,
I would like for you to check this video out. I found it in the CNN website. It's Abel Maldonado with his speech at the RNC which doesn't make any sence. He talks about Obama raising taxes of the rich and that their is not that many rich people. ( My understanding to that was that its better to tax poor and middle class. Here is the link: see for yourself http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2008/09/04/seg.biden.palin.reax.cnn I posted a comment earlier about Biden's response to Palin's speech. Another thing I want to add is about our economy. The reason that Palin didn't say anything about the economy is because McCain thinks the economy is in perfect condition. Francisco Marley and McCain

Hope rises from Ashes - Why haven't we heard about Kemper Marley and Jim Hensley in this campaign. Cindy Mccain's father has strong links to organized crime through Kemper Marley. Hensley ran a dog racing track with the assistance of a criminal bookie and financial backing from Marley. Hensley was convicted of breaking federal laws to avoid sales rationing, so he could profit from providing more whisky for the gullets of others even though he had grown up in a home of alcoholics.
And who defended Kemper and Hensley in federal court - William Rehnquist. Sarah, Hurt me like no one ever hurt me before

Any participant in a war should consider themselves a prisoner of that war. There should be no desire to go to war. It should be an absolute necessity where no other possibilities exist.
Mr. McCain was imprisoned and physically and emotionally abused but he came back. He returned relatively whole compared to those who would later die from exposure to Agent Orange. Who were permanently disfigured or paralyzed by bullets, mines, disease and soul killing stressors. Orthose who could only find sanctuary under bridges or under upturned bottles. 58,000+ servicemen died. He did not. Hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of civilians died. He did not. He lives and he thrives and he owes those who do not. He owes those who came back in a much worse state than he did and who continue to do so. Baked Alaska

OPEC is considering reducing output in light of oil prices that are only around $110.00(down from $147.00).
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080907/ap_on_bi_ge/opec_meeting;_ylt=AgOvjMKS_HPArH.MB2JIOPdv24cA So regardless of how much we drill. All OPEC has to do is turn off some spigots and the price remains the same. And if you think OIL companies are just going to sell the US its oil and not put it on the world market think again. There used to be a law that Alaskan oil could only be sold to the US, but that law was overturned by Republicans and some of Alaska's gas has been diverted to Japan and China. Picked up off Daily Kos -
From an article dated 6-29-07 Anchorage Daily News - Stapleton wouldn't say exactly where Alaska's first family is right now, citing security reasons. But the Palins will travel this summer, and spend time fishing, and plan to return to Juneau this fall. So, she disappears for a couple of months straight as Governor. No big deal. So, it's more like 14 months gubernatorial experience. She spent most of her time living in Wasilla as Governor, no big deal. And the Governor's Mansion chef that was "Fired" was actually just reassigned. No government shrinkage there. http://dwb.adn.com/news/politics/story/9090479p-9006523c.html Re: Join the conversation - Share your thoughts on KRXA 540 AM with other listeners!

So the government folks doling out oil leases are selling us out for drugs, rum and sex. And the people working out on the rigs are getting injured and killed at skyrocketing rate. Why are they getting injured? Because, odds are they don't know what they're doing. Oil workers are leaving behind recent jobs as burger flippers and box store stock clerks.
So, when we think about drilling on our coastlines and our national wildlife refuges next to vital food supplies and tourist areas that have nothing what all to do with oil production - Remember that the person who most likely gave that federal(yours and mine - OUR) lease to the oil comapanies did it on the cheap in exchange for sex and drugs. Remember that the people those oil companies are relying on to drill that oil without causing a major spill were most likely asking if you wanted paper or plastic last week. When my single mother happened to be home and not working when we woke she would rouse her 5 kids from our slumber with the cry "Rise and Shine."
She died two years ago without the dignity of fighting, because life's circumstances didn't give her the means. We can sit in our armchairs and numb ourselves complaining they're cheating. Or we can rise and fight back. We can submit and keep laying down and let them continue to kick us. Or we can rise and say "Enough!" We can sing the same old lullaby that our guys aren't tough enough. They don't do enough for us. Or we can Rise and we can Shine. We can rise and join them so what we want to be said is said. We can rise so that our particular hopes can shine again. We can rise so that they know we have their back and that their path is not as dark as it must sometimes appear. We can rise and shine so that others will know they can do so, too. It is time for America to wake up. It is time for us to Rise and Shine. Bumper Stickers

on Mon 27 Oct 2008 12:21 PM PDT | Profile | Permanent Link
Even though Hal, the Democratic Party, unions, etc are against Prop 11, I am convinced the better vote is Yss. The system is broken and dysfunctional. The Democrats want to keep picking their districts and ensuring an automatic re-election. 99% of incumbents win re-election, but nothing gets done in California. Prop 11 would let redistricting be done by an independent commission and would ensure that legislators would be more accountable to voters. The No forces will try to point out flaws in the proposed system, but Common Cause, AARP, the League of Women Voters, the ACLU of Southern California and almost every newspaper in the state endorse Prop 11. Don't be a party hack, defeat the status quo, and make some needed changes to the way the government in California works (or more accurately, doesn't work). Vote Yes on Proposition 11.

KRXA’s talk-show host Bob Oliver used off-color language several times on Saturday April 4, 2009 between the hours of 9 and 10 PM. The swear language itself does not bother me when used in an appropriate context but Mr. Oliver used the words in a awkward, purposeful, gratuitous manner that was obviously meant to incite station listener response and passion. When a listener called the show in response to the language, Mr. Oliver unapologetically defended the words stating they were necessary to “make his point”. Bob went on to state that he had previously used such language on another radio station and that he had successfully defended himself (to an unstated entity) by arguing that competing talk-show hosts often use language that he finds politically offensive. Vulgar language is inappropriate to the public airwaves. Worse however is that Bob Oliver’s ongoing show on KRXA masquerades as traditional programming (without a disclaimer) when it is actually a paid “infomercial”. (Bob himself has mentioned in passing that he pays approximately $100/hour to air his show.) The true purpose of Bob’s “talk-show” is to promote the sales of military-grade night-vision goggles and related products/services costing multiple thousands of dollars. Bob purports his night-vision goggles will enable the user to see proof of ongoing alien life visits by simply turning the goggles towards the night sky in dark remote desert regions. The infrared night-vision equipment itself works for the manufacturer’s intended purpose but the promotion of its misuse in this manner is sleazy and possibly criminally actionable. Turning night-vision goggles towards a dark sky and viewing random “noise” is the equivalent tuning radio or television receivers to an unused channel and listening to or viewing “static”. The “random-noise” received in either case is not proof of ongoing alien life visits; the scientific biases for the effect is well understood. I sent an email to Hal Ginsberg, owner of KRXA, about the inappropriate language and about the fraud that Bob Oliver promotes. While Hal sent a response in which he thanked me for informing him of the language, he went on to state that “they” had decided to give Bob Oliver another chance. Hal was mute on my complaint about Bob Oliver’s ongoing fraudulent promotional activity. The station owner’s tepid response about the language combined with the station’s continued promotion of a sleazy infomercial that fraudulently promotes the sales of military-grade equipment for scientifically baseless purposes is extremely disappointing. Most offensive to me is that KRXA and its ownership purports to cater to local Progressive (Liberal) listeners but it mixes rational political content with sleazy and possibly criminally actionable promotions thereby alienating educated listeners, harming Progressive politics, and making true Progressives/Liberals the butt of jokes. KRXA should remove Bob Oliver as a host due to his repeated (admitted) on-air vulgar language and his hour-long “infomercial” promotions that are designed to deceive and take money from the uneducated. In addition, since Bob Oliver’s show is not the only paid “infomercial” presented as if it is done in the public interest, KRXA should institute a policy that such programming will contain a prominent periodic disclaimer informing the audience that the show is paid advertising.

Hal: Your acceptance of Bob Oliver’s fraudulent promotion appears to tainted by economic convenience. When you discussed my post on-air, you focused on the inappropriate language Bob Oliver used and you glossed over the main point I was attempting to make. You indicated that you would allow Bob’s show to continue because the night-vision goggles he promotes should work for the manufacturer’s intended purpose. My point is that Bob pushes the sale of these units in a scientifically fraudulent manner by promoting misuse of the units for the “off-label” purpose of viewing alien life thus bilking the buyer.Turning night-vision goggles towards a dark sky and viewing random “noise” is the equivalent tuning radio or television receivers to an unused channel and interpreting the “static” and “random-noise” received as proof of visiting alien life. If Bob does not know this, he should take a Physics 101 class, stop using illegal drugs (mushrooms or LSD?), and/or have his doctor adjust his medication.
You support of Bob’s show because the goggles he promotes allow night-vision could be extrapolated towards the support of a host that sells snake oil as a cancer cure when the product is only labeled as a light lubricant. (Come to think of it, some of your other weekend hosts do come pretty close to promoting such snake oil sales.) Many of your local programming choices are very disappointing and ultimately this will hurt your station and the political causes we both really care for. Thanks for moving my post to where it is more readily viewable and for mentioning it on-air this morning. However, you destroyed the paragraph breaks, which makes the post harder to read and comprehend. I understand why you modified the words that I quoted Bob Oliver using but I think the specific words were important to the post. Many might assume that “off-color words” are the milder ones such as those that host Mike Malloy uses (and I occasionally enjoy although his rants are frequently overdone). I liked the modification you made to the title of the post although I’m not sure it was appropriate for you to change it. This is Bob Oliver. You can see UFO craft with third generation night vision goggles. I do not receive money for telling the truth, however it is a problem in this world we live in that liars do receive money for lying. Because truth is often hidden from us, we must work hard to understand the nature of things through discernment.
For the entire year of 2008, Ed Grimsley made numerous trips to Monterey in order to tell his truth and to share with the World the fact that you can see UFO craft with third generation night vision goggles. Approximately 500 people in Monterey took their time to come out and see UFO (unidentified Flying Objects) which included flying discs (flying saucers) triangle craft, delta craft, lights, spherical craft and more. For those contemplating discernment I offer you this caution, like Pandora's Box, once the lid is removed the world may not remain the same. Is there a reason I can't see the author of these posts? I'd like to know if it's someone from a competing radio station or simply a concerned KRXA listener before I bother to actually put my identified self out there with a reply.

I love progressives because we have good, open minds. However it has been said that we should be open-minded but not so open-minded that our brains fall out.
I think that Bob Oliver's show is an example of this station needing to mop its cerebral cortex off the floor. This man is allowed to rant on about whatever outlandish topics he likes without challenge. His extraordinary claims are not met with demands for extraordinary evidence and he is further just as uncritical of his guests who bring their own claims of conspiracy theories and nazi alien technology. If your concern is truth in reporting to further progressive ideals, then please stop the love-fest of irrationality that is the Bob Oliver show. Either that or rename it, "The Quantum Leap (of Logic)." Re: Re: Join the conversation - Share your thoughts on KRXA 540 AM with other listeners!

Hey Hal,
Good to waste some time recently listening to you You will sure run Bob out and be looking nice on it, that's your intent trying to put him on the corner - trying to get on his case, and with that patronizing "great to have you here" opening statement It's true that jews get the more attention don't you know that or do you pretend to not know that? Then what about the African, Indonesian and other genocides, many of them instigated by the US? Don't these people deserve equal mention? But where is it? Hal mentioned he often experiences computer problems during hot weather. To help avoid computer problems in hot weather, take the cover off the side of the CPU tower at least once a year in early spring & vacuum the dust that accumulates to form a woven blanket on the CPU & video card cooling fins. (Air duster cans can be used but these are expensive and not environmentally friendly plus they tend to push dust to other places where it can do harm.) The internal ICs in the tower are static sensitive, be careful not to touch or even approach the internal electronics with anything that can impart a static charge (especially plastics or a person wearing/standing on static generating material; keep the forearm of the hand you use to clean in contact with the metal tower case). Integrated Circuits (IC "chips") can be damaged by static causing failure sometimes months later.
A real tip-off that your cooling fins need cleaning is when you hear the fans in the CPU tower ramping-up and making airplane sounds when the computer performs tasks that previously never caused this to occur. The final death-throws of heat build-up are screen freezes and BSODs. You might also investigate better quality HVAC filters in your building to help avoid the problem. Even this maintenance won't prevent all heat-related problems. Electronics have been plagued for about a decade by unnecessary failures in power regulating/filtering circuits (manufacturers get bilked on electrolytic capacitors knock-offs that unsuccessfully attempt to duplicate successful patented manufacturing techniques). Poor quality capacitors eventually overheat (due to an internal resistance that decreases over time) and they often visibly rupture leaving telltale traces of dried brown caustic goo and corrosion before the equipment fails completely. (Look for this when you do the cleaning, if caught early the device may be worth a "re-cap" repair.) See http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=195 and many other articles (just the result of a quick Google, not a company endorsement). "Clean" Electric Power Plants

Hal mentioned "dirty soot" from the Moss Landing power plant. The power plant at Moss Landing is fueled by natural gas having been converted many years ago from fuel oil. The vast majority of the dark “smoke” you see is only water vapor (grey like fog looks). Natural gas is actually one of the cleanest burning fuels available; certainly it is much better than oil, coal, or gasoline.
I always wondered why the two big stacks at Moss Landing frequently are not belching steam. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moss_Landing_Power_Plant, I found that the big stacks are the older units 6 and 7, they are used only seasonally in peak-demand periods because they are 50% less efficient than other units on the site that utilize improved technology. These older units are also difficult to effectively use because they require a 24-hour start-up time. In many respects, a nuclear power plant would be much cleaner. The problem with current nuclear power technology is that the plants produce tiny amounts of “hot” radioactive element isotopes that eventually contaminate the rods ending their useful life. The contaminates themselves have a half-life of about fifty years meaning the majority of their radiation is released within a human lifespan; the radiation is reduced by 75% after only one hundred years). The remaining portion of a “spent” fuel rod is simply uranium that by itself is no more dangerous than the original uranium that was mined from the ground. (Uranium is relatively safe to handle because its extended half-life means it decomposes & releases radiation very slowly, just don’t combine it with florescent paint on your teeth to make them glow or you may eventually die of cancer). The “hot” isotope contaminates in expended fuel rods are dangerous to life because if the contaminates enter the food chain, they can easily be interchanged with the non-radioactive versions of elements normally present in life forms. It is possible to reprocess the fuel rods and to separate the waste (instead of foolishly attempting to bury entire used rods in a mountain) but currently this technology is only used abroad. Reprocessing reduces the volume of the waste so much that decades of the entire nation’s waste would fit in the storage volume of one gymnasium. New but untested power plant designs have the potential to not create waste at all but instead would consume and destroy waste as it is created in the plant. The use of traditional fuels kills many many thousands of people every year. Agriculturally derived fuels, solar panels, and windmills are not completely safe either. Just imagine how many people are going to be killed maintaining solar panels and windmills as these as these proliferate on rooftops, mountainsides, and on the continental shelf. Agricultural activities are not particularly safe either. The question is which processes can man most safely handle. To help put things in perspective, consider that a family of four currently requires a freight train worth of coal over a 20-year period to generate the electricity they use. This fuel releases tons of dangerous radioactive and chemical waste to the environment (including CO2). If this same amount of energy were produced using nuclear power as it currently exists in the US, the radioactive waste produced would fit in a shoebox. If the shoebox of waste is instead reprocessed rather than buried (as currently done in France), the volume of the waste is reduced to size of a pill bottle or “shot-glass” and the rods are then simply recycled back into service. It is the small percentage of “hot” contaminates that make the used rods dangerous. Fortunately the hot isotopes remain unsafe for at most a few hundred years and uranium itself is not much of a threat to the environment. So after considering the above, the questions are: Which fuel supply can man most safely produce and handle? Which technology will produce the fewest casualties per unit of energy produced? Which technology’s safety profile is the best candidate to have its safety profile quickly and easily improved? I for one feel we need to attempt to develop all our potential fuel sources and that Progressives should not be so quick to rule out the use of nuclear power. Re: "Clean" Electric Power Plants

You have many tons of convincing to do before I believe a word you say on this. What proof do you have? You say to "imagine". I have great difficulty imagining the following to be true. Anyhow, even if I COULD imagine something, that does not convince me that it's scientifically proven to be true.
"Just imagine how many people are going to be killed maintaining solar panels and windmills as these as these proliferate on rooftops, mountainsides, and on the continental shelf." I don't think so. Following safety procedures common to each culture, people don't normally get killed maintaining this kind of stuff. You provide no proof and it is NOT obvious to me and many others that this IS true, so, like the card game - "I Doubt It". I also doubt the veracity of your following assumption: "The use of traditional fuels kills many many thousands of people every year." Is this something you imagined? If not, what are the underlying stats to shore up your point? And more importantly, were they gathered by a neutral party? Those who are in favor of nuclear power plants need to understand that people MIGHT be in favor of them if only the info at their fingertiips were non-politicized and upheld by THOROUGH common sense and scientific examination. Every time I see politicized presentations of the facts, the stronger my conviction becomes that nuclear power proponents are lying for personal gain. Until I see neutral facts presented, I find a knee-jerk anti-nuclear reaction has some justification. The internet can be a great power equalizer by providing all sides of an issue at once. It's no longer possible to railroad people since there are many more informed people around these days. Consumption of fossil fuels is killing tens of thousands but unfortunately, manufacturing, installing & maintaining solar is not safe either.

A quick Google produced some evidence to support my contention that fossil fuels kills thousands and that installing and maintaining solar panels on roofs is a dangerous activity (see below). Workers in the roofing and construction occupations are often undocumented aliens so the severity of their injuries (other than death) is very much under-reported. (Injuries that leave worker unable to support themselves are in some ways worse than death. Even those that do qualify for Worker’s Compensation or Social Security are usually financially devastated for life.)
Solar power is still in its infancy. Solar requires extensive amounts of time and energy to construct, its manufacturing creates serious pollutants (that often end up unsafely dumped in the third-world), and the power it produces costs at least 2-3 times as much per Kilowatt. Solar power is also requires a comparatively high level of routine maintenance; someone needs to periodically perform the dangerous duty of crawling over and around the panels to keep them clean. I’m not at all saying that we can’t pursue solar or other sources of energy or that energy de-centralization is a bad idea. However, I want to inject some realism to the discussion about the various choices and options. Nuclear power is proven off-the-shelf technology and it could be readily available in the massive quantities we need (if we cut the red tape). ******************************************************************************************************************* Fossil fuels responsible for tens of thousands of deaths a year, says report 4 June 2004 A recent report published by the French Agency for Health and Environmental Safety (AFSSE) claims that the unrestrained consumption of fossil fuels is killing tens of thousands of people in Europe. In France alone, automobile emissions kill up to 10,000 people per year, says the report. Furthermore, between six and 11 per cent of all lung cancer cases in France are caused by automobile emissions, which could represent up to 1,713 deaths a year. One can also add the cases of cardio-respiratory diseases of which 'seven per cent are directly imputable to urban pollution', representing 4,876 deaths a year. The report estimates that each death linked to atmospheric pollution costs 900,000 euro of taxpayer's money and underlines that 'the negative consequences resulting from automobile traffic are superior to the sums paid via tolls and taxes on fuels.' A study by the World Health Organization (WHO) reached similar conclusions. In a report covering Austria, Switzerland and France, the WHO found that some 40,000 people die every year as a result of automobile emissions or particulate matter (PM). Particulate matter is the fine airborne particles that result from the combustion of fossil fuels in automobiles, heavy industries and heating and which go on to form smog. The finer the particles, the more noxious they are. In 2002 between two and five per cent of deaths of adults above 30 years of age was caused by exposure to those polluting agents. http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/story.asp?storyCode=189183§ioncode=26 The 10 most dangerous jobs Occupation Fatalities per 100,000 Timber cutters 117.8 Fishers 71.1 Pilots and navigators 69.8 Structural metal workers 58.2 Drivers-sales workers 37.9 Roofers 37 Electrical power installers 32.5 Farm occupations 28 Construction laborers 27.7 Truck drivers 25 Source: Bureau of Labor Statistics; survey of occupations with minimum 30 fatalities and 45,000 workers in 2002 http://money.msn.com/content/invest/extra/P63405.asp I would agree that installing Solar panels is similar to roofing. “Solar requires extensive amounts of time and energy to construct”

“Solar requires extensive amounts of time and energy to construct”
To clarify, as of 2007, all solar manufactured and installed in the U.S. to date amounts to just 1% of total electric power usage. http://www.eia.doe.gov/cneaf/solar.renewables/page/trends/rentrends.html Meanwhile, in 2007, total electric demand in the US increased by 2.8 percent. http://www.eia.doe.gov/cneaf/electricity/epa/epa_sum.html Do you see the problem? While solar sales are increasing dramatically, current production of solar panels can’t even keep up with increases in electricity demand. China is experiencing much greater increases in electricity demand (since we shipped them most of our manufacturing). China brings a new (filthy) coal-powered electric power plant online every week! Just try manufacturing and installing solar panels that quickly especially since solar cell “energy payback time” (the time required to produce an amount of energy as great as what was consumed during production) is currently a minimum of 1.5 years! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photovoltaics#Power_costs Why the World Trade Towers really collapsed

Hal mentioned he finds it to believe that the planes that hit the World Trade Towers are what brought them down. Although in general I am hesitant to dismiss conspiracy theories involving the "right-wing", I believe that building structural deficiencies are the most plausible cause of the collapse.
In my opinion, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) conducted the most creditable study about the reasons for the collapse of the Towers although several other studies have come to similar conclusions. The NIST was commissioned by Congress in the spring of 2002 to investigate the disaster for the purpose of making recommendations for building code improvements. Due to self-interests, NIST criticism of existing US building code tends to be weak since they helped to write the existing code. The NIST overcame their inherent bias and concluded that the buildings fell due to structural and code deficiencies. This fact should be strongly considered in any analysis of the voracity of their conclusions. The conclusions of the NIST correspond well with photographic evidence and the time the buildings stood after the attack. NIST chief investigator S. Shyam Sunder and PBS’s NOVA present a very insightful slide show simulation of what the buildings endured in the 9/11 attacks. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/wtc/sunder.html NOVA also addresses and debunks many conspiracy theories about why the buildings fell. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/wtc/cons-flash.html NOVA concludes that the design of the buildings and the physical damage from the planes essentially made the collapse of the buildings inevitable. NOVA shows how the impact of the jets flying at some 500 plus miles per incapacitated the poorly designed “single source” fire sprinkler system and how the plane fuselage passing through the building’s unique exterior steel grid pulverized metal into shrapnel that “sandblasted” off cheap “spray-on” floor-truss fireproofing. (This non-integral fireproofing is unusual in the US and does not meet building codes in Europe because of inadequacies). The planes dispersed the equivalent a full gasoline tanker truck worth of arson accelerant igniting the flammable contents of the buildings. The loss of fireproofing on the floor trusses and the lack of fire sprinkler water exposed the trusses to severe temperatures for a prolonged period. These buildings had unusually long floor support trusses. The architect pioneered the use of light prefabricated trusses because extended lengths between support columns maximize rentable floor-space. Unlike any buildings built before them, vertical supports in the Towers were restricted to a mesh of steel rods integrated within the outer perimeter of the exterior walls and to interior columns that paralleled the center elevator shafts. Unfortunately, when the long trusses got excessively hot, they lost their temper and began to sag downward in the middle. The downward sag of the long trusses shortened their total length. The supporting steel grid on the exterior of the building was engineered primarily to hold downward forces so the exterior walls began to be forced inward by the shortened trusses. The inward bow of the exterior walls can be clearly seen on camera footage. The progressively increasing inward pull plus the fire’s heat eventually distorted and cracked the supporting steel in the external walls making these supports no longer able to hold the static weight of the floors above. The unsupported floors began to move downward changing the static force of their weight to a much stronger and unstoppable dynamic one. The moving weight of the floors above the fire essentially began to serve as a battering ram and this caused the floors beneath to progressively “pancake” until the entire building was destroyed. Thoughts on our current progress!
I hope Obama is doing what I think he is. So far he’s only let out 11% of the stimulus money to the states. Which in my view is brilliant, let out a portion of the money and monitor its usage. Why? You ask, in this time of fiscal crisis. To prevent the all too common wasteful spending associated with our federal and state government. This money is intended to be spent on projects that will stimulate our economy, hence the name. Much of the 11% has not even been used and good portion of the rest was used to offset state deficits. It seems as if the president was aware this might happen and set up the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board as a watchdog for the use of Recovery Act funds. If they follow thru with their mandate, soon, we should start seeing some strong arming by the administration on governors and state legislators to start spending the money in the best interest for economic recovery or future stimulus monies might be withheld.
Newly created sites like Recovery.gov and Fedbizopps.gov are providing a level of transparency and attempted efficiency yet seen in our Government. If you look beneath all the sensationalized news reports and articles there really seems to be an underlying reconstruction of our governmental operations. Sure, Obama will make a few missteps along the way (already made a couple) but I’m willing to stick with him if he believes the majority of what comes out of his mouth and he stays dedicated to untangling the mess of bureaucracy, corruption and outright wastefulness that we are all too used to. I must remind everyone that we are a representational government, meaning we pick our representatives. If you don’t trust the government or think it does a lousy job, then that is a direct result of you or your fellow citizens who are not paying enough attention or getting involved. Unfortunately due to the lack of true journalism left in our major news outlets and their resulting corporate interest corruption, it has become increasingly hard to find the facts, which would lead to rational thinking and problem solving. Now were blessed with this constant tit for tat, back and forth bullshit that calls itself news. Stop being sheep and search for the facts you’ll be surprised people. If it helps try to think of our government as a giant nonprofit who’s mission is only to protect and serve its citizenry. It’s efficiency and its overall usefulness relies on all of us to pull our heads out and pay attention. I seem to hear this constant drum beat of “let the free market decide”. This seems truly naïve that we would base our social welfare decisions on an economic philosophy which relies on how successful a business is in attracting customers and making a profit. Really WTF people?!!! It’s way too early to be so squirrelly So sit back, relax and sorry if you have to pay a little extra tax. Give this thing called change a chance. You just might find your lives truly enhanced. Re: Thoughts on our current progress!

F--Off Hal - Pelosi said "impeachment is off the table" who d you thi she is representing????
In reference to "Clean" Electric Power Plants
Thank you for the information. I think much of our worry will be for not, with a little proper direction. It seems that localizing much of our national grid is part of the solution, especially with growing energy demand and impending uncertainty of weather conditions. Companies and other research facilities like MIT have produced printable solar inks that can recover energy across the whole spectrum and can be applied to a number of different substrates (no more silicon). One such company Konarka uses all recycled materials and estimates a cost of $1 a watt in the next couple of years and 10 cents a watt when production is ramped up. Just imagine you could purchase a 5000 watt residential solar system for $500. This would create millions of jobs (no more dangerous than being a roofer). You could solarize 5 to 10 million homes for the cost of 1 nuclear plant, that's not even including the cost of running, maintaining and water usage of the power plant.
Currently there are two ways solar can be used or stored. 1. Directly connected to your houses electrical system where you use the electricity in your house and if there’s excess it’s sold back to the power company. 2. Store the electricity in batteries for later use (Peak demand). The problem with the latter solution is our current battery technology but these hurdles are on the verge of becoming history. EEstor a rather secretive company out of Texas is looking promising with a type of ceramic capacitor. Scientists at MIT have even recently demonstrated how a genetically modified virus can be used to construct both the cathode and anode of a lithium-ion battery (nanoscale). Just as the brilliant minds of our time have conceived and developed our nuclear technology over the past few decades, the minds of today are forging forward with new ideas and solutions of tomorrow. Now that the "free market" is finally catching on, we're finally starting to make some progress. If we would have kept Carters energy plan in the 70's who knows where we might have found ourselves. There might be a role for the government to help push this along. Remember the tax credit 2008, $600 for single $1200 for Couple. Well there's your solar system, the home owner would just pay for the install. Not to bash on Nuke energy, it could play a part in industrial demand but I believe there are solutions for that as well that are less expensive in comparison and just as efficient. I for one feel we should start backing our scientist and the further development of clean energy technologies that are completely feasible, safer, and potentially more efficient. Need long-term disability insurance payments because you are unable to work? Good luck getting these benefits if you can’t maintain medical insurance!
Social Security administers disability benefits for people who become medically unable to work and earn “substantial” income (currently $980/month) for a year or more. Unfortunately, Social Security judges your ability to work based on the outcome of any previously prescribed medical treatment (such as taking prescriptions) and it gives no consideration to the fact that you may not be able to afford the ongoing treatment if you have lost your job. In addition, Social Security tends not to recognize your medical problems are debilitating unless you receive ongoing treatment. Social Security will pay for a physical and/or psychological “consultative exam” (depending on the alleged disability). However, many consider this exam a sham whose actual purpose is to find a reason to deny you. The agency is slow to pay for or even recognize the most modern techniques of diagnosis. The consultative exam is often rather basic (i.e. stand up, sit down, walk across the room…). Show you can follow the instructions and successfully do these things and you will likely find yourself judged as not disabled. Worse, admit that you “self-medicate” with more than an occasional drink or if the examiner suspects this (maybe due to your mouthwash, perfume, or aftershave), then your denial may state that the agency does not pay for drug addiction or alcoholism. The consultive exam weighs most heavily against those who cannot provide extensive ongoing medical records. This often happens to the working poor who lose employment and medical insurance quickly when their medical condition interferes with what is often physically demanding employment. However, few of us are immune to the loss of medical insurance given failing health and a few bad breaks. Most Social Security disability claims are initially denied. The claimant has the right to file an appeal but these often take years to be decided due to the agency’s backlog on hearings. While the claimant waits for a decision, they invariably become financially devastated losing everything they ever possessed (often including their marriage and any remaining access to medical treatment). The lucky claimants move in with relatives or friends but many become homeless. The disabled claimant is often not able to prove their disability until after their untreated medical condition (unnecessarily) worsens. The lack of treatment frequently leads to catastrophic medical events at emergency rooms, which is an inhumane, expensive, and inefficient use of medical resources. If a claimant is persistent in filing appeals (or new claims if appeals are exhausted), they will usually be ultimately approved. However, claimants often find it necessary to seek the services of an attorney to assist them at their hearing on a contingency basis. The attorney then usually takes 25% (up to $6000) from any retroactive payment won. A good start on improving the Social Security disability claims process would be for our nation to provide full-coverage medical insurance that is free to anyone who can show financial need or hardship. Pent-up demand from those currently uninsured would likely create several years of provider access issues and initial costs but ultimately our society would experience offsetting savings that would benefit everybody. Other countries already make health insurance affordable and accessible to their entire populations and the vast majority achieve better patient outcomes at lower per capita cost. In a prosperous, supposedly civilized society such as ours, there is no excuse that food, shelter, clothing, health care, and opportunity are not available to everyone. Why don't Article Man fall off the lawyeristic script?!
He starts sounding tiring to the ear Bob Oliver hurts the creditability of your station and the Progressive causes you operate the station to support.

Hal-
I’m glad to see that you are finally getting my point about Bob Oliver; he hurts the creditability of your station and the Progressive causes you operate the station to support. Now if you can just find it in your soul to go against your immediate economic interest and dump Bob’s program altogether. I’ll bet most listeners don’t know that Bob purchases his airtime from you and that he is really just an infomercial huckster selling a product.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The true purpose of Bob’s “talk-show” is to promote himself (and any method he can find to make money). Bob’s current shtick is to promote “donations” and/or the sales of military-grade night-vision goggles that cost thousands of dollars. The infrared night-vision equipment works for the manufacturer’s intended purpose but the promotion of these goggles for viewing “alien spacecraft” is sleazy and possibly criminally actionable. The inventors would have won the Nobel Prize if these goggles were capable of such a thing. In reality, using night-vision infra-red goggles to view the random-noise infra-red energy of a dark sky is the equivalent turning your television receiver to an unused channel and saying you see “alien spacecraft” in the random-noise radio-frequency energy that creates snow and streaks on the screen. If Bob does not know this, he should take a Physics 101 class, stop using illegal drugs (mushrooms or LSD?), and/or have his doctor adjust his other medications. I would recommend that anyone that does come to this crackpot’s potluck Saturday night literally not drink his Cool-Aid (at least not if you are planning on driving home or thinking rationally anytime soon).-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KRXA should consider broadcasting a disclaimer after every station break stating that Bob’s show is paid programming and that station management does not necessarily support the views expressed. More accurately, the disclaimer might state that the show is broadcast primarily for entertainment purposes (like professional wrestling). I must admit that Bob’s show is entertaining. However, the reason a rational person might listen is the same as why one might watch an impending train wreck. The show draws the gullible such as The Great Ignorant Ben (who should talk less and listen more so as to learn from those more educated than himself). It is especially sad that I heard Juan Escamilla, a seemingly honest, hard working, well meaning station supporter call in and support Bob’s nonsense. However, by far the most serious damage done by Bob’s show is to KRXA’s reputation and the believability of the Progressive causes we both support.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How about taking Bob’s show off the air and adding additional time to Karel’s live show?
Why drinking Bob Oliver’s Cool-Aid will make you think you see spacecraft.

“using night-vision infra-red goggles to view the random-noise infra-red energy of a dark sky is the equivalent turning your television receiver to an unused channel and saying you see “alien spacecraft” in the random-noise radio-frequency energy that creates snow and streaks on the screen”
The explanation of what Bob and his followers see is probably even simpler than that. On most nights there are going to be lots of little bugs flying through the air. Bats don’t fly though the air at night for nothing! Just imagine how those that drink Bob’s Cool-Aid will perceive these bugs. While bugs are not warm-blooded, all the energy expended through their tiny muscles is ultimately converted downward to the lowest form of energy: heat. Night-vision goggles detect infra-red energy which is just a fancy way of stating they detect sources of heat. Drink the Cool-Aid & you may be “attacked” by the “alien craft”!

Yeah, and those that go out to see these “spacecraft” Saturday night on the beach will probably be attacked by those “alien craft”!
Better bring the bug repellent and a designated driver that doesn’t drink Bob’s Cool-Aid! Night Vision UFO Battles. Definitive answers KRXA listeners want to know. Stop the presses! Stop the show!

Hal- Stop the presses; this is the blog that finally and definitively provides KRXA listeners with the answers to the burning questions we have all had about Bob Oliver’s contention that it is possible to view alien spacecraft with 3rd generation Night Vision Goggles (NVG).
I admit it, I have been so very wrong about Bob Oliver, Ed Grimsley, and the 3rd generation Night-Vision Googles (NVG)! As Bob tried to tell you all so many times on-air, just seeing the flying spacecraft for yourself is all the convincing a person needs. I now absolutely agree. Until Saturday, I believed that Bob and Ed were viewing flying bugs, radio frequency random noise, or other NVG artifacts and then fraudulently claiming that they were viewing alien spacecraft. Now I must admit that Bob and Ed are in fact viewing flying objects from outer space! Unfortunately, Bob and Ed will not win the Nobel Prize. This is because it is NOT alien spacecraft that Bob and Ed are viewing but rather the massive quantities of space junk that now orbits the earth! This junk orbits high enough to reflect tiny amounts of sunlight (infra-red) back to earth in the evening sky even though the viewer on the ground is in total darkness. NASA and the military track the larger pieces of this junk because it is a threat to spacecraft and ironically, to prevent its “misinterpretation” as something more substantial. However, as NVG users observe, the orbits of very small space junk is unstable (due to its small mass and cross-section). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_debris Here is an edited portion of a June 15, 2009 blog by “Total Truth” after he used Ed Grimsley’s “3rd generation” Night Vision Goggles in Calistoga (where Ed lives): (Original at: http://www.cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=8tplkjut873t3umc0i41pf6it2&topic=10837.msg90779#msg90779) “I just returned from giving Ed my $50 to look through his goggles for a couple hours. We did see many objects through the NVGs, but they all appeared to me to be satellites or debris reflecting the sun. I saw none of these objects change direction (although Ed said they were.... they did not), change speed, or appear suddenly as if coming through a stargate (as Ed suggested was possible). Many of the objects did travel from horizon to horizon fairly fast, faster than I would expect a satellite to travel. There are websites available for satellite watchers which allow you to put in your longitude and latitude and the site will give you a list of what satellites will be visible from that location and the exact time of passing. From the "visible pass" information, you can see that most satellites take about 4-5 minutes to cross from horizon to horizon, and a few are much faster with a 1 1/2 minute to 2 minute visible pass. The objects we observed were moving at varying speeds, but this is consistent with the data presented on known satellites.” ”We did however see many more objects than this satellite site listed. The website listed about 4 satellites/hour are visible whereas we saw at least 10-15 objects/hour. So there is a discrepancy there, and also the objects we saw would pass through our visible range in more like 1 minute. I wish I had been wearing a watch... maybe next time. I'm looking forward to someone else taking this issue up in a more professional manner.” ”There's no doubt Ed is at least a chronic liar and possibly a pathologic liar, the difference being whether he's a pure con man or believes his own lies. Ed told us that he was approached by Bush Sr. when he was 18 years old and Bush asked him to kill JFK. Of course, Ed... we believe you, Ed... sure. Ed also told us that he had donated $30,000 to the Little League Field where he does his Skywatches, yet the plaque beside the field reads another man's name. The next morning we ate breakfast in Calistoga so we asked the waitress about Ed. She laughed and said, "Ed's harmless but a nut. Ask the mayor; you're sitting next to him". The mayor of Calistoga assured us that Ed hasn't a penny to his name and that in no way did he donate a dime to the Little League field.” “I could go on with more stories, but for the sake of brevity, I assure you that Ed's a liar/storyteller through and through. The people of Calistoga appear to find Ed humorous, if nothing else. My guess is that he's a con man and knows exactly what he's doing.” The reader of the above excerpt should follow the KRXA motto and “think for yourself”. If you suspect the conclusions of “Total Truth” are correct, please encourage Hal to stop the presses (i.e. cancel the Bob Oliver show)! Ed Grimsley partially redeems himself, but Bob’s show’s content tonight continued to repeatedly air uncensored FCC prohibited word S-H-_-_ (and more)!

Ed Grimsley responded on-air 08/24/09 to “Total Truth’s” story (above) about the Little League field. While I remain convinced that Ed & Bob are just storytellers trying to monetize a scam about UFOs (really space debris), Ed’s explanation about his unrecognized contribution of equipment & manpower towards the Little League field had the ring of truth. What convinced me is that Ed acknowledged the accuracy of the quotes from “Total Truth”, the mayor, and the waitress all the while keeping his explanation plausible and seeming to fit. Good job Ed!
I found Ed’s on-air story 08/22/09 about being recruited as a marksman for nefarious purposes involving President Bush and Kennedy much less convincing. To me, this story had the same credibility as most of the other tired (discredited) conspiracies frequently recounted on Bob’s show. Ed is definitely a storyteller. As I keep trying to tell Hal, consistent creditability is everything if you want to be believed. Proving the truth about Ed’s story about the Little League field and his prior access to and/or ownership of heavy earth-moving equipment would take a search of Calistoga’s newspaper archives. Who (besides Ed) has the interest or the time to investigate? I should mention that before anyone purchases $3500 infrared night vision goggles from Ed or anybody else, they should take a look at the issues of value, performance, and most notably durability here: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread358418/pg1 The economical “digital Night Owl iGen 20/20 has enough line pairs and sensitivity to do the job AND it has an RCA video out that you can attach a video camera or if you like”. “The iGen runs around $500-$700… …It will not lose quality over time like the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation Night Vision Goggles because it doesn't use the $1200 proton tube but uses CCD technology instead.” (There is much other buying advice on the site.) I am disgusted that Hal keeps Bob’s self-promoting paid infomercial on the air alongside the legitimate Progressive political programming Hal purports KRXA exists to support. Since Hal continues to disrespect the creditability of his station, its causes, and the intelligence of KRXA listeners with Bob’s show, I think it best if I stop responding to Bob’s nonsense here and blog only on legitimate political issues. As they say in the business, the only bad publicity is no publicity and the only thing that matters is that that they spell your name right. Even though I can’t seem to kill the station cockroach, Bob Oliver’s show will eventually die. Bob will eventually self-destruct as was apparent again today when for the third night he repeatedly used FCC prohibited language on-air. In my opinion, Bob Oliver and the content of his show are best described by the words Bob Oliver used several times tonight on-air in full-uncensored glory, “___hole” and “S-H-_-_”! Wow! That Bob Oliver should be voted "Most Talkative" on the Monterey Peninsula! For most of his life, since a young and handsome man, he has found topics and forums for his own original ideas and ways to inform the curious. Cautioning about UFO's over the peninsula, Hitler, special groups of manic motorcycle cops, corrupt government, stranger than true experiences, you just never know what his program will be like this time. Mediocracy, mentally ill, madman, deviat, he employs all facets and descriptions to entertain listeners that think they are too tired for just another radio jockey. Keep on Riding those Waves Bob!!!

I've noticed what time you posted your comments. I'f you had taken the time to come to the sky watch you could be helping to spread the truth, now. About 40 to fifty people or more showed up for the skywatch. Many saw and were convinced that we in fact have large numbers of craft above us that can in deed be seen with the $3,800 night vision goggles. Hope you will be ready to join us another time. Bob Oliver 831 383-2676 boboliver9@gmail.com Go to www.edgrimsley.com for more information on UFO
and night vision. Buy $3,800 night vision goggles or give a $50 donation just to view "space junk"? No thanks!

Pay $3,800 for night vision goggles or give a $50 donation to use them just so I can view the "space junk" (from our space program) that now floats in low earth orbit? No thanks! I can see what you guys see for free on YouTube if I Google “Ed Grimsley” and “alien spacecraft nonsense”. I'll get my NVG when they become available at Harbor Freight Tool for $38.00 less my weekly 20% off email coupon and then I'll follow your example and rent them to gullible children (with an allowance) so they can see "Santa Claus"!
Is it OK that Bob Oliver once again used the word "f______" on air, this time in recorded lyrics?

Hal- You told me that you wanted me to tell you every time I hear FCC prohibited language on KRXA. Just to let you know, Bob Oliver opened his show Saturday 08/22/09 by playing John Lennon's song "Working Class Hero" that clearly uses the word "f______" several times in the lyrics. It is in Bob's personality to push the limits on everything. If you let Bob get by with playing profane musical lyrics this time, next time he will sing the profane lyrics himself as he denies the moon landing and the Holocaust. Bob will continue to push the limits of your tolerance and of FCC permitted broadcasting until you are forced to take him off the air. The purpose of this communication is simply to assist towards advancing this eventuality. I wouldn't mind Bob's presence (so much) on KRXA if a disclaimer was aired after every commercial break that explained that the show is privately purchased airtime and that management does not necessarily support the views expressed. The presentation of Bob's show as an "equal" alongside the “Progressive” shows KRXA exists to promote hurts the station’s creditability. Worse, some of the station’s most frequent callers (and advertisers) seem to buy-in to Bob’s nonsense making their business and everything else they think and say suspect. KRXA’s slogan “Think for yourself” is catchy but let’s not use the slogan as an excuse to give airtime and thus validation to conspiratorial paranoiac nonsense! I actually enjoy Bob’s selections of musical lead-ins. I even find Bob’s show entertaining in perverse way. As I said in a previous post, it is difficult to avert your eyes from viewing an impending train wreck. Some people watch professional wrestling. Others listen to the Bob Oliver show to hear what ridiculous nonsense he will bring forth next. I personally would not take the time to listen to Bob’s show except that I have become invested in stopping the show from continuing to hurt the political causes I care deeply about. As a Liberal, I share many of the “Progressive” causes KRXA promotes. (It is the New-Age non-scientific unsupported mathematic feel-good aspects of Progressive politics that I have problems with!) I normally do not care much for censorship, especially the nit-picking kind I am encouraging here. However, unlike many Liberals, I am willing to occasionally use methods I despise for “the greater good”. This is why I am letting the world know that Bob Oliver once again used FCC prohibited profanity on KRXA in spite of Hal’s previous public warning to him that such language is unacceptable. Bob pushed the envelope too far tonight; he must now pay the price of losing his show. Caution is advisable though as Bob surely will not understand that he brought this eventuality upon himself. You implied on-air that Bob is a crackpot. If Bob is mentally ill, he could also be dangerous. Title: John Lennon - Working Class Hero lyrics Artist: John Lennon Lyrics As soon as your born they make you feel small, By giving you no time instead of it all, Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all, A working class hero is something to be, A working class hero is something to be. They hurt you at home and they hit you at school, They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool, Till you're so f______ crazy you can't follow their rules, A working class hero is something to be, A working class hero is something to be. When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years, Then they expect you to pick a career, When you can't really function you're so full of fear, A working class hero is something to be, A working class hero is something to be. Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV, And you think you're so clever and classless and free, But you're still f______ peasants as far as I can see, A working class hero is something to be, A working class hero is something to be. There's room at the top they are telling you still, But first you must learn how to smile as you kill, If you want to be like the folks on the hill, A working class hero is something to be. A working class hero is something to be. If you want to be a hero well just follow me, If you want to be a hero well just follow me. One of the best songs ever written. YES! I thought he said he obfuscated the "f" word. Someone would have to tape the actual broadcast and then send it to the FCC. That's the only way to prove it. Sounds like an exciting town you guys live in.

...this could happen to you: http://www.whatsinyouremail.com/2009/06/01/side-effects-of-swine-flu/ Bob stated on-air Saturday that he received a telephone “threat” stating “you're on the list” which he then “played backwards” to decipher and reported to the police. I couldn’t resist this post given Bob’s nebulous threat and the nonsense he endorsed on the same night the about a swine flu conspiracy. If anyone wants to know about a local talk-show host that did became a high-profile political target, they should ask Karel about Bernie Ward or see the link below. Bernie Ward had a terrific talk show on KGO, the same station Karel came from. Bernie made the mistake of giving authorities an easy opportunity to make an example of him when he participated in an illegal Internet porn ring. AOL gave the FBI all the screen names and logs of the entire ring. Although Bernie was a rather insignificant player, he was the only person prosecuted before the statute of limitations ran out and his sentence was unusually harsh. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernie_Ward When you are high profile and speak truth to power as Bernie did, you may pay a price. Bob brags of his battles with local officials but his issues of contention seem to have little more validity than the myriad of half-baked paranoiac world conspiracy theories he supports. Bob seems to use his show to seek validation for this anti-social behavior from the mentally ill callers his show naturally attracts. I would suggest that Bob instead talk to Hal about what is going to happen when local officials become unresponsive to Hal’s needs because of Bob’s actions. Interestingly, even “The Great Ignoramus Ben” seems to understand that Bob will self-fulfill his prophecy of martyrdom if he continues to make himself a pain in the rear to everyone in a position of authority. For those that know of Bernie, he loves to get letters & reassurance he still has fans. Your name and return address must appear on envelope. Please note that staples, clips, return stamps, completely blank pages, or a return envelope are considered contraband. Here is how write to Bernie: Bernard V Ward Inmate Number 90569-111 FCI Beaumont Low Federal Correctional Institution PO Box 26020 Beaumont, TX 77720 Release date: 12-21-2014 Contact Info: BEAUMONT LOW FCI http://www.bop.gov/locations/institutions/bml/index.jsp |
